Record #179767:

Effects on embryo development time and survival of intercrossing three geographically separate populations of southeast Alaska coho salmon, Oncorhynchus kisutch / Karla L. Granath, William W. Smoker, Anthony J. Gharrett, Jeffrey J. Hard.

Title: Effects on embryo development time and survival of intercrossing three geographically separate populations of southeast Alaska coho salmon, Oncorhynchus kisutch / Karla L. Granath, William W. Smoker, Anthony J. Gharrett, Jeffrey J. Hard.
Author(s): Granath, Karla L.
Smoker, William W.
Gharrett, Anthony J.
Hard, Jeffrey J.
Date: 2004.
Publisher: Dordrecht: Kluwer Academic Publishers
In: Genetics of subpolar fish and invertebrates. (2004.),
Abstract: Investigates adaptive differences among three geographically separate populations of coho salmon (Oncorhynchus kisutch) by forming first generation intercrosses (hybrid lines) and comparing with parental types (control lines). Finds that geographic separation, influence of local adaptation, and hatchery influences produce measurable differences in length, ovary size, and egg size among populations under investigation.
