| Abstract: | Studies quantitative biological characteristics (phytoplankton photosynthesis, bacterial CO₂ assimilation, abundance of bacteria and organic matter distribution). Calculates integral indices for selected areas, and total primary production. Obtained data points to oligotrophic-mesotrophic ecosystem in bay. Finds spatial and temporal inhomogeneities of primary production processes in relation to tidal cycling. Shows role of bacteria link in ecosystem. |
