Низкочастотные бароклинные волны Кельвина в районе материкового склона Новосибирских островов

Title: Низкочастотные бароклинные волны Кельвина в районе материкового склона Новосибирских островов
Title, transliterated: Nizkochastotnye baroklinnye volny Kelʹvina v raĭone materikovogo sklona Novosibirskikh ostrovov / E.A. Zakharchuk, S.A. Petushkov.
Translated title: Low-frequency baroclinic Kelvin waves over the continental slope in the region of the New Siberian Islands.

Language: Russian.

Abstract: Examines variability of synoptic scale at different horizons of three moorings at continental slope of Novosibirskiye Ostrova (Laptev and East-Siberian seas) in 1995-96. Finds that perturbations of synoptic scale have wave character. Compares obtained parameters of wave perturbations with theoretical dispersion relation of low-frequency waves. Analyses cross-correlation between wave current perturbations and meteorological parameters (air pressure, horizontal gradient of air pressure, wind). Hypothesizes that wave current perturbations are generated due to resonance between fields of atmospheric pressure and wind in moving anticyclones and free low-frequency Kelvin waves.
