Record #179584:
Variability of the predicted insulation index of clothing in the Norwegian Arctic for the period 1971-2000 / Andrzej Araźny.
Title: | Variability of the predicted insulation index of clothing in the Norwegian Arctic for the period 1971-2000 / Andrzej Araźny. |
Author(s): | Araźny, Andrzej. |
Date: | 2006. |
In: | Polish Polar Research. (2006.), Vol. 27(4) (2006) |
Abstract: | Presents spatial distribution of changes in value of predicted insulation index of clothing in Norwegian Arctic, using data from six meteorological stations. Finds distinct correlation of values of predicted insulation index of clothing with different atmospheric circulation types; also that greatest requirement for clothing with high thermal insulation properties in winter and early spring is when air mass advections occur from north-eastern sector, independently of the baric system. |
