Invasion of terrestrial enchytraeids into two postglacial tundras: north-eastern Greenland and the Arctic Archipelago of Canada (Enchytraeidae, Oligochaeta) / Bent Christensen, Klára Dózsa-Farkas.
Title: | Invasion of terrestrial enchytraeids into two postglacial tundras: north-eastern Greenland and the Arctic Archipelago of Canada (Enchytraeidae, Oligochaeta) / Bent Christensen, Klára Dózsa-Farkas. |

Abstract: | Examines invasion of terrestrial enchytraeids into postglacial tundras. Finds that majority of species recorded have wide distribution in northern hemisphere and that species diversity is considerably lower than that of potential source regions, indicating either strong selection or varied dispersal ability. Canadian Archipelago is influenced mainly from North America, and north-eastern Greenland from Europe, while specialised fauna of ancient Beringian tundra is of minor importance. |
