Abstract: Reports isolation of two abundant epiphytic diatom taxa from assimilation hairs of brown macroalga Chordaria flagelliformis collected in Kongsfjorden, Spitsbergen; establishment as unialgal cultures; and determination of growth rates under controlled photon fluence rate and temperature conditions.
