Abstract: Reports study involving comparisons of drug-taking behaviour among Alaskan and Siberian Eskimos (one of earliest studies to obtain substance abuse data from Russian Natives in eastern Russia). Finds that Russian subjects consumed significantly higher levels of alcohol while Alaskan group reported higher levels of consumption of marijuana, cocaine, inhalants and chewing tobacco.
