The role of sea-level rise and the Greenland ice sheet in dangerous climate change: implications for the stabilisation of climate / Jason A. Lowe, Jonathan M. Gregory, Jeff Ridley, Philippe Huybrechts, Robert J. Nicholls, Matthew Collins.

Title: The role of sea-level rise and the Greenland ice sheet in dangerous climate change: implications for the stabilisation of climate / Jason A. Lowe, Jonathan M. Gregory, Jeff Ridley, Philippe Huybrechts, Robert J. Nicholls, Matthew Collins.

Date: 2006.
Publisher: Cambridge: Cambridge University Press
In: Avoiding dangerous climate change. (2006.),
Abstract: Considers two aspects of sea-level rise with implications for avoidance of dangerous climate change. Notes that global sea levels would rise by approx. 7 m if Greenland ice sheet were to melt and discusses likelihood of occurrence in coming centuries. Also examines time scales associated with sea-level rise and demonstrates that coastal impacts may continue long after stabilisation of global temperature.
