Abstract: Reports application of screening and confirmation programme similar to Vision in Pre-Schoolers Study (VIPS) to remote part of interior Alaska. Finds that programme has similar high validity in remote area as VIPS and provides immediate, on-site results; also that photoscreening is cost-effective screening tool, particularly young children.
