| Abstract: | Analyses hydrographic data from World Ocean Database 2001 and Argo profiling floats to examine temperature inversions in sub-Arctic North Pacific. Calculates frequency distribution of temperature inversions at resolution of 1° (latitude) x 3° (longitude). Finds large temperature inversions occur throughout year in western and central sub-Arctic North Pacific but are much more common in Gulf of Alaska and south-eastern sub-Arctic North Pacific. |
