Impact of warming and timing of snow melt on soil microarthropod assemblages associated with Dryas-dominated plant communities on Svalbard / Rebecca Dollery, Ian D. Hodkinson, Ingibjörg S. Jónsdóttir.

Title: Impact of warming and timing of snow melt on soil microarthropod assemblages associated with Dryas-dominated plant communities on Svalbard / Rebecca Dollery, Ian D. Hodkinson, Ingibjörg S. Jónsdóttir.

In: Ecography. (2006.), Vol. 29 (2006)
Abstract: Evaluates impacts of predicted global warming on structure of invertebrate community of Dryas octopetala heath in west Spitsbergen, using open top chambers. Compares results of experiment with natural variation in invertebrate community structure along snowmelt transect through similar vegetation on adjacent hillside. Results suggest that composition and structure of Arctic invertebrate communities associated with Dryas will change significantly under global warming.
