Cryological processes implied in Arctic proglacial stream sediment dynamics using principal components analysis and regression / T.D.L. Irvine-Fynn, and 7 others.
Title: | Cryological processes implied in Arctic proglacial stream sediment dynamics using principal components analysis and regression / T.D.L. Irvine-Fynn, and 7 others. |
Author(s): | Irvine-Fynn, T. D. L. |
Date: | 2005. |
Publisher: | London: Geological Society |
In: | Cryospheric systems : glaciers and permafrost. (2005.), |
Abstract: | Analyses proglacial suspended sediment concentation dynamics for three glacierised basins: cold-based Austre Brøggerbreen (Svalbard) and polythermal glaciers Midre Movénbreen (Svalbard) and Glacier B28 (Bylot Island). Presents variety of regression models examining significance of thaw related processes of sediment supply. Subdivides proglacial stream data and corresponding meteorological data from southeast Bylot island (Nunavut) and northeast Spitsbergen using principal components and change point analyses. Discusses autocorrelation and performs subseasonal regression analysis (multivariate hydrological, hydrology-energy and residual models) to assess temporal changes in dominance of glacial, fluvial and periglacial processes. |
