Record #178889:

Trends in river-ice break-up data for the western James Bay region of Canada / Elise Ho, Leonard J.S. Tsuji, William A. Gough.

Title: Trends in river-ice break-up data for the western James Bay region of Canada / Elise Ho, Leonard J.S. Tsuji, William A. Gough.
Author(s): Ho, Elise.
Tsuji, Leonard J. S.
Gough, William A.
Date: 2005.
In: Polar Geography. (2005.), Vol. 29(4) (2005)
Abstract: Examines trends in river-ice break-up date for Moose, Albany and Attawapiskat rivers located in western James Bay region. Regression analyses reveal several significant but weak linear relationships between river-ice break-up date and calendar year. Finds that while trends are weak, very recent changes in break-up characteristics (obtained through local knowledge) show that potentially drastic and rapid changes have occurred within past few years.
