Abstract: | Considers effect of human activities on reindeer and caribou (Rangifer tarandus) behaviour and habitat use and reviews studies based on current methodologies. Notes that anthropogenic activites have direct effect on Rangifer behaviour through senses of hearing, sight and smell, and that all of these are important tools for behavioural risk assessment. Considers short- and long-term behavioural responses. |
