Abstract: Reports and analyses observations of similarity and dissimilarity of conjugate relationships of Pi magnetic pulsations during excellent similar auroras at conjugate stations (Tjornes in Iceland and Syowa Station in Antarctica). Study reveals that characteristic Pi pulsations, Pi 2 pulsations and impulsive Pi 1 pulsations were prominently observed with close relationship to aurora activities. Notes good similarity between conjugate stations during substorm growth, but, at onset of substorm expansion, appearance of Pi pulsations showed prominent dissimilarity, suggesting asymmetry of ionosphere and magnetosphere conditions between northern and southern hemispheres.
