Record #178049:

Paleomagnetic paleolatitudes for Upper Devonian rocks of the Omolon massif, northeastern Russia / Evgenii Kolesov, David B. Stone.

Title: Paleomagnetic paleolatitudes for Upper Devonian rocks of the Omolon massif, northeastern Russia / Evgenii Kolesov, David B. Stone.
Author(s): Kolesov, Evgenii.
Stone, David B.
Date: 2002.
Publisher: Boulder, CO: Geological Society of America
In: Tectonic evolution of the Bering Shelf - Chukchi Sea - Arctic Margin and adjacent land masses. (2002.),
Abstract: Reports palaeomagnetic studies of Omolon massif. Data from studies passes standard fold, reversal and conglomerate tests, and mean directions obtained indicate palaeolatitude of ~30°N, similar to that determined for nearby parts of Siberian platform. Results fit well with, but do not prove, models claiming the Omolon continental fragment terranes were part of Siberian craton which rifted away in Devonian time.
