Record #178041:

Origin of the Lisburne Hills-Herald Arch structural belt: stratigraphic, structural, and fission-track evidence from the Cape Lisburne area, northwestern Alaska / Thomas E. Moore, Trevor A. Dumitru, Karen E. Adams, Susan N. Witebsky, Anita G. Harris.

Title: Origin of the Lisburne Hills-Herald Arch structural belt: stratigraphic, structural, and fission-track evidence from the Cape Lisburne area, northwestern Alaska / Thomas E. Moore, Trevor A. Dumitru, Karen E. Adams, Susan N. Witebsky, Anita G. Harris.
Author(s): Moore, Thomas E.
Dumitru, Trevor A.
Adams, Karen E.
Witebsky, Susan N.
Harris, Anita G.
Date: 2002.
Publisher: Boulder, CO: Geological Society of America
In: Tectonic evolution of the Bering Shelf - Chukchi Sea - Arctic Margin and adjacent land masses. (2002.),
Abstract: Reports new mapping in northern Lisburne Hills, which documents three north-east-plunging, north-east-vergent structural domains: imbricated Lisburne Group carbonate rocks, complexly folded fine-grained strata of Etivluk Group and Kingak Shale, and isoclinally folded Brookian sequence turbidites. Concludes from similarities in age, deformational style and percent shortening that Lisburne Hills represent northward projection of frontal zone of Brooks Range orogen.
