| Abstract: | Investigates incidence of gastric and oesophageal cancers using Alaska Tumor Registry database. Compares age-adjusted Alaska Native incidence rates with those of several U.S. populations. Finds that incidence has remained relatively stable during 35-year period. Gastric cancer is higher than that seen in U.S. Whites, Blacks and American Indians of New Mexico, while oesophageal cancer incidence is higher than U.S. Whites, Asian/Pacific Islanders and American Indians of New Mexico, but similar to Blacks. |
