Record #177834:

Spectral characteristics of Greenland lichens / Cornelis van der Veen, Bea M. Csatho.

Title: Spectral characteristics of Greenland lichens / Cornelis van der Veen, Bea M. Csatho.
Author(s): van der Veen, Cornelis.
Csatho, Bea M.
Date: 2005.
In: Géographie Physique et Quaternaire. (2005.), Vol. 59(1) (2005)
Abstract: Discusses spectral reflectance measurements conducted during field campaigns in West Greenland, and in laboratory (using collected samples), to evaluate spectral signature of lichens. Finds that spectral signature of lichens differs with species, colours and appearance. Notes that most abundant species covering rocks in ice-marginal zone of west Greenland has markedly different spectral signature from that of other surface types and land-covers, with near-zero reflectance at visible wavelengths, and maximum of around 1600 m at radio wavelengths.
