Abstract: Presents cross-sectional group-based data on working conditions of forestry machine operators for Nordic countries compared with central European countries (represented by France, Germany, Poland and United Kingdom). Notes replacement of traditional forest worker with skilled machine operator, and resulting changes in strains on musculoskeletal system from lower back to neck and shoulders.
