Abstract: | Examines whether prevalence of asthma has increased in remote area of Alaska where population lives subsistence lifestyle and is not exposed to industrial or agricultural pollutants, using retrospective review of medical records of 1,200 children who lived in Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta. Finds no significant change in percentage of children diagnosed with asthma over ten-year period from 1990-1999. |
