| Abstract: | Explores cultural connections between Calabria and Faroe Islands through example of production and consumption of North Atlantic codfish. Notes that cod has, over centuries, become traditional food and given rise to stories, recipes and feasts dedicated to different cod dishes and methods of preparation. Regards project in general as survey of economic and socio-cultural relations between two communities, viewed from historical perspective, but also as laboratory for new forms of cooperation. |
