| Abstract: | Provides estimates of population density of musk oxen (Ovibos moschatus) in Quebec, noting success of breeding programme undertaken in 1967 with initial introduced population of 15. Estimates that population is now 1,400, with population density of 3.04/10km² for whole area around Tasiujaq and Kuujjuaq and believes that there is no problem in maintaining habitat at this density. |
