| Abstract: | Investigates along-slope structure and variability in circulation and thermohaline fields, using five current meter moorings deployed from July 1998-October 1999 along shelf-break and slope of western, central and eastern Alaska Beaufort Sea. Finds that mean monthly along-slope component of winds was eastward in all months except January 1999; also that mean subsurface flow at depths between 80 and 200 metres is eastward along central and western Beaufort slope. |
