| Abstract: | Analyses 30 relict blockfields of 45 existing on Sierra del Supsirón. Identifies five blockfield types and discusses origin and current dynamics. Blockfields are associated with particular substratum (ordovicic quartzites), topography (high areas, between 1,600 m and 2,000 m, and slopes less than 10°), and with glacial and periglacial landforms that can be related to blockfield origin in periglacial palaeo-morphoclimatic conditions. Proposes chronology relating blockfields to other glacial and periglacial forms of region and chronologies established for period 20 ka to 10 ka B.P. |
