Record #177421:

Sub-Arctic oceans and global climate / Peter B. Rhines.

Title: Sub-Arctic oceans and global climate / Peter B. Rhines.
Author(s): Rhines, Peter B.
Date: 2006.
In: Weather. (2006.), Vol. 61(4) (2006)
Abstract: Examines ocean-atmosphere-land interactions at Arctic rim in determining climate during warming phase. Considers north-south exchange flows, circulation forcing, the "tall" sub-polar zone, ocean circulation and changes in sub-polar climate system. Concludes that early warning systems in Arctic may yet be effective in alerting populations to possible catastrophic change.
