Record #177339:

Late Pleistocene history of New Brunswick, Canada / Allen A. Seaman.

Title: Late Pleistocene history of New Brunswick, Canada / Allen A. Seaman.
Author(s): Seaman, Allen A.
Date: 2004.
Publisher: Amsterdam: Elsevier
In: Quaternary glaciations - extent and chronology : Part II North America. (2004.),
Abstract: Presents overview of glacial history of province, noting that this is poorly understood, with evidence for pre-Wisconsinan events fragmentary and striation record attributed to Late Wisconsinan extremely complicated. Discusses likelihood that province was completely inundated by all pre-Wisconsinan glaciations that left record on continental shelf offshore from Nova Scotia. Suggests parts may have been deglaciated during Middle Wisconsinan. Reinterprets nunatak zones of Northern Miramichi and Caledonian highlands as having been glaciated during Late Wisconsinan. Discusses ice-marginal positions during Wisconsinan Maximum and deglaciation, extent of Younger Dryas ice, and possible ice-dammed lakes.
