Title: Limits of mountain and continental glaciations east of the Continental Divide in northern Montana and north-western North Dakota, U.S.A. / David S. Fullerton, Roger B. Colton, Charles A. Bush.
Author(s): Fullerton, David S.

Bush, Charles A.
Date: 2004.
Publisher: Amsterdam: Elsevier
In: Quaternary glaciations - extent and chronology : Part II North America. (2004.),
Abstract: Reviews limits of glaciations and glacial history in, and east and south-east of, Glacier National Park, and on Northern Plains further east in Montana and north-western North Dakota. Summarises production of glacial limits map, which necessarily includes selected limits in adjacent Canada, and nomenclature and chronology used. Discusses mountain glaciation, including valley glaciers, outlet-glacier piedmont lobes, and Kennedy, Bull Lake and Pinedale glaciations, and Laurentide continental glaciation from Late Pliocene through Illinoian to Late Wisconsin.
