| Abstract: | Applies fully prognostic coupled ice-ocean model to simulate ice drift features in Kara Sea annual cycle. Summarises ice and ocean model components and treatment of atmospheric stratification. Presents simulations for years Oct 1984-Oct 1985 and Oct 1987-Oct 1988 and discusses monthly and seasonal features of ice drift. Finds ice flows out of Kara Sea throughout year, with absence of outflow from north-eastern part possible in summer and early autumn. Exportation to Arctic Basin is possible from entire sea water area. |
