Models case of catastrophic debris flow at Tyrnyauz in 2000, including influence of side water inflows. Compares flow velocities, depths, run-out distance, and deposited volumes with field data and describes statistical modelling of dynamic characteristics of flow. Also models Karmadon valley ice catastrophe of 2002, assuming downfall of hanging glacier as original impulse. Estimates flow parameters and establishes essential influence of water volume in Kolka glacier water on velocity and run-out distance.
