Record #177119:
Intra-seasonal oscillations observed in the MLT region above UK (52 °N, 2°W) and Esrange (68°N, 21°E) / D. Pancheva, N.J. Mitchell, P.T. Younger, H.G. Muller.
Title: | Intra-seasonal oscillations observed in the MLT region above UK (52 °N, 2°W) and Esrange (68°N, 21°E) / D. Pancheva, N.J. Mitchell, P.T. Younger, H.G. Muller. |

Date: | 2003. |
In: | Geophysical Research Letters. (2003.), Vol. 30(21) (2003) |
Abstract: | Reports analyses made by meteor radars of intra-seasonal oscillations (oscillations with periods of ~30-100 days) at middle and high latitudes. Finds clear evidence of ~75-day variability in mean winds. Intra-seasonal oscillation appears to be prominent feature of mean zonal circulation and was observed regularly in time intervals December 1996-September 2001 over UK and October 1999-December 2002 over Esrange. |
