Abstract: Recounts events of spring 1933 near lake Num-To (Khanty-Mansiyskiy A.O.) when conflict arose between group of Ostyak and Russian fishermen and local Nentsy. Describes subsequent negotiations between indigenous local population and Russian authorities part of which involved local shamans. Some Russians were killed and later 88 members of tuzsovet (native peoples' Soviet) were arrested.
