Record #177070:

Geology of the Miramar Con mine / R.L. Hauser, D.W. McDonald, J.P. Siddorn.

Title: Geology of the Miramar Con mine / R.L. Hauser, D.W. McDonald, J.P. Siddorn.
Author(s): Hauser, R. L.
McDonald, D. W.
Siddorn, J. P.
Date: 2006.
Publisher: St John's, Nfld: Geological Association of Canada, Mineral Deposits Division
In: Gold in the Yellowknife Greenstone Belt, Northwest Territories : results of the EXTECH III multidisciplinary research project. (2006.),
Abstract: Reports that gold at Miramar Con mine, on west shore of Yellowknife Bay, is hosted in two large, continuous parallel shear zones and several peripheral narrower shears and quartz-vein systems. Ore within shears occurs within quartz lenses forming numerous steeply plunging ore trends and few large ovoid trends. Subparallel steeply plunging trends indicate possibility of original structural control to ore deposition.
