Structural evolution of the Yellowknife greenstone belt, with emphasis on the Yellowknife River Fault Zone and Jackson Lake Formation / Edith Martel, Shoufa Lin.
Title: | Structural evolution of the Yellowknife greenstone belt, with emphasis on the Yellowknife River Fault Zone and Jackson Lake Formation / Edith Martel, Shoufa Lin. |
Author(s): | Martel, Edith. Lin, Shoufa. |
Date: | 2006. |
Publisher: | St John's, Nfld: Geological Association of Canada, Mineral Deposits Division |
In: | Gold in the Yellowknife Greenstone Belt, Northwest Territories : results of the EXTECH III multidisciplinary research project. (2006.), |
Abstract: | Describes crustal-scale structures believed to have played major role in genesis of lode gold deposits. Notes that, in Superior Province, major crustal-scale structures are also spatially associated with late Archaean sedimentary sequences generally known as Timiskaming-type sequences, assemblages of conglomerate, sandstone and felsic volcanic rock. |
Notes: | In: Gold in the Yellowknife Greenstone Belt, Northwest Territories : results of the EXTECH III multidisciplinary research project / C.D. Anglin, H. Falck, D.F. Wright, E.J. Ambrose, eds. |
