| Abstract: | Examines geological relationship between 2.7 Ga Kam and 2.66 Ga Banting groups of Yellowstone greenstone belt and tectonic settings which can be inferred from geochemical systematics. Considers, in context of Kam Group, what magmatic evolution trends can be identified from base of volcanic pile to its top, and what processes are responsible; also, whether putative Banting rocks exposed along western shore of Yellowknife Bay are really part of Banting Group. |
