Abstract: | Reports Australian study of chlorophyll levels and ozone concentration in five regions of Southern Ocean during November and December from 1997-2000. When ozone levels fell below 300 Dobson units, chlorophyll accumulation dropped to 45.7%, suggesting that higher UV levels could be contributing to 80% fall in krill population since 1970s. |
