Abstract: | Presents results of re-analysis of artefact assemblage of Putu site and of spatial context. Demonstrates that Putu probably contains at least three components: Mesa complex Palaeoindian component dated to ca 10,500 radiocarbon years B.P.; fluted point component, possibly associated with blades, tentatively dated to 8,500 radiocarbon years B.P.; and historical era component. |
