| Abstract: | Describes climatic conditions based on meteorological data taken between 1975 and 2000 from Ny Ålesund and Kaffiöyra-Heggodden stations, and investigates changes in annual courses of main climatic elements, focusing on analysis of summer climate. Finds that climate of studied area differs considerably from that of central-inner and southern parts of western coast of Spitsbergen but that differences are not stable throughout year, and generalisation is not possible. |
