| Abstract: | Compares use of hypnotics between Saami and non-Saami people living in same area at 70°N in northern Norway, using cross-sectional survey based on cardiovascular screening, including questionnaires and clinical examination. Finds prevalence of insomnia and use of hypnotics to be significantly lower in Saami population, compared with non-Saami. Suggests that results of study may reflect different attitude to sleep as phenomenon among Saami. |
