Abstract: Examines prevalence of alcoholic liver disease among Greenlanders with high alcohol intake and describes and compares populations of patients with alcohol addiction in Greenland and Denmark. Results from clinical cross-sectional study of patients attending alcohol treatment centres in both countries indicate a lower prevalence of liver disease in Greenlanders with high alcohol intake, compared with Danes with similar alcohol patterns.
