| Abstract: | Estimates extent and composition of plant communities at Karrak Lake, Nunavut, where populations of Ross's geese and lesser snow geese (Chen rossii and C.caerulescens) have grown geometrically over more than 20 years in areas with no previous nesting history. Finds that vegetative cover declined with nesting density. Also notes decline in species richness and diversity of vegetation in areas with long history of goose nesting. |
