Record #176501:

Regional assessment of GCM-simulated current climate over northern Canada / Barrie R. Bonsal, Terry D. Prowse.

Title: Regional assessment of GCM-simulated current climate over northern Canada / Barrie R. Bonsal, Terry D. Prowse.
Author(s): Bonsal, Barrie R.
Prowse, Terry D.
Date: 2006.
In: Arctic. (2006.), Vol. 59(2) (2006)
Abstract: Evaluates several international global climate models (GCMs) on ability to simulate mean values and spatial variability of current (1961-90) temperature and precipitation over four regions across northern Canada. Also assesses observed climate data sets for Arctic Canada. Finds close correspondence, especially for temperature, among data sets, but notes various GCM simulations of observed climate show considerable inter-regional and seasonal variability, with temperature more accurately simulated than precipitation.
Notes:

Arctic. Vol. 59(2) :115-128 (2006).
