| Abstract: | Reinterprets Lidfjellet tectonic structure, with particular reference to lithostratigraphy of autochthonous and overthrust sequences involved, and to position of thrust surface. Geological and palynological data indicate that sequence attributed previously to Lower Cretaceous Helvetiafjellet Formation of autochthonous cover actually represents Carboniferous (Viséan) Sergeijevfjellet Formation forming lower part of overthrust unit. |
