Abstract: Using WGECO discussions on ecological quality objectives as starting point, develops operational framework for fisheries management, extending scope from single-species reference points to evaluation of approaches necessary to protect ecosystem properties. Also identifies specific candidate objectives, indicators and reference points for including ecosystem considerations in fisheries management.
