The dense and highly connected world of Greenland's plants and their pollinators / Rebekka Lundgren, Jens M. Olesen.
Title: | The dense and highly connected world of Greenland's plants and their pollinators / Rebekka Lundgren, Jens M. Olesen. |
Author(s): | Lundgren, Rebekka. Olesen, Jens M. |
Date: | 2005. |
In: | Arctic, Antarctic, and Alpine Research. (2005.), Vol. 37(4) (2005) |
Abstract: | Analyses pollination network of 26 pollinator species with 17 plant species from island of Uummannaq, Greenland, for multiple parameter values. Finds that, of insects collected, 77% of all individuals and species belong to Diptera, and that ratio of pollinators to plant species is 1.5 (lower than in other Arctic pollination networks). Notes high clustering and small path-length values, indicative of close linkage and "small-world" behaviour. |
