Record #176169:

Recent changes in seasonal variations of climate within the range of northern caribou populations / P.H. Whitfield, D. Russell.

Title: Recent changes in seasonal variations of climate within the range of northern caribou populations / P.H. Whitfield, D. Russell.
Author(s): Whitfield, P. H.
Russell, D.
Date: 2005.
In: Rangifer. (2005.), Special issue No. 16 (2005)
Abstract: Presents results of climatological studies indicating that climate derivatives of potential significance to caribou changed during past 50 years. Temperature derivatives reflect increasing overall temperature in Arctic (such as decreases in number of days with low temperatures) while other derivatives reflect changes in precipitation regime. Results suggest that specific caribou herds across Arctic were subjected to different variations of derivatives in different seasons in recent past.
