| Abstract: | Describes Center for Alaska Native Research (CANHR), community-based participatory research project aimed at understanding current risk factors for obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disease in Natives living in south-west Alaska. Research utilises multidisciplinary approach, including assessment of genetic, nutritional and behavioural risk factors, and relationships with one another in overall development of disease. |
