Date: 2005.
In: International Journal of Circumpolar Health. (2005.), Vol. 64(3) (2005)
Abstract: Examines effects of migration and urbanisation on alcohol intake by means of population-based, cross-sectional study of 4,139 Inuit randomly selected from Denmark and four areas of western Greenland. Finds population living in Denmark to have higher mean alcohol intake than those living in Greenland; also higher incidence of drinking above sensible levels in Denmark. Observes no statistically significant difference in alcohol intake between Inuit living in large and small communities in Greenland. Attribution of observed differences of alcohol intake remains unclear.
