Record #176027:

Stability of the climate system and extreme climates in model experiments = Stabilität des Klimasystems und extreme Klimate in Modellexperimenten / Vanya Romanova.

Title: Stability of the climate system and extreme climates in model experiments = Stabilität des Klimasystems und extreme Klimate in Modellexperimenten / Vanya Romanova.
Author(s): Romanova, Vanya.
Date: 2005.
In: Berichte zur Polar- und Meeresforschung = Reports on Polar and Marine Research. (2005.), Vol. 510 (2005)
Abstract: Examines ocean and atmospheric dynamics of present-day climate and Last Glacial Maximum (LGM) through Ocean and Atmosphere General Circulation models. Uses different LGM reconstructions of sea surface temperatures and sea-ice margins as forcing fields for models. Also investigates stability of thermohaline circulations under different reconstructions, together with corresponding atmospheric dynamics. Stability analysis, by means of freshwater flux hysteresis maps, reveals monostability for each glacial background state, which appears to be robust feature of glacial ocean.
