Acidifying pollutants, Arctic haze, and acidification in the Arctic / Patricia K. Quinn, Betsy Andrews, Jesper Christensen, Elsworth Dutton, Glenn Shaw.
Title: | Acidifying pollutants, Arctic haze, and acidification in the Arctic / Patricia K. Quinn, Betsy Andrews, Jesper Christensen, Elsworth Dutton, Glenn Shaw. |
Author(s): | Quinn, Patricia K. Andrews, Betsy. Christensen, Jesper. Dutton, Elsworth. Shaw, Glenn. |
Date: | 2005. |
In: | Arctic Research of the United States. (2005.), Vol. 19 (2005) |
Abstract: | Discusses provenance and chemical properties of Arctic haze. Notes that measurements of sulphate aerosol and light scattering and extinction show amount of haze impacting Arctic was constant or decreasing between 1980s and early 1990s, but updated trends in light scattering show indications of increase of haze at Barrow, Alaska, since late 1990s. |
Notes: | Arctic Research of the United States. Vol. 19 :26-33 (2005). |
